Royals rock at Diamond Jubilee concert

Queen Elizabeth II has spent 60 years putting duty above all else and last night was no exception, with the monarch cheerfully attending a pop concert to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee despite Prince Philip being taken to hospital just hours earlier.

The queen arrived at 9pm, and was met with deafening applause from the 500,000-strong crowd outside Buckingham Palace.

The monarch was joined by other senior royals including Prince Charles and Camilla, Prince William and Catherine and Prince Harry.

Prince Philip spent the evening in a nearby hospital receiving treatment for a bladder infection.

Prince Charles made a moving tribute to his mother at the event.

If the queen was worried about her husband, she didn’t show it.

William, Catherine and Harry were thrilled to be at the event.

The monarch took to the stage with the performers at the end of the concert.

William and Harry loudly sang along to all the songs.

Harry was particularly impressed with Tom Jones’s rendition of ‘Delilah’.

Catherine was wearing a Whistles dress and an Alexander McQueen blazer.

The queen wore earplugs throughout the concert.

Palace aides say her late arrival had nothing to do with her husband’s illness.
