Happiness at last: A new baby for the Morcombe family

It’s been 12 years of hell since Daniel Morcombe disappeared in Queensland. Now, finally, his family have something to celebrate

The Australian Women's Weekly is thrilled to announce that Daniel Morcombe’s twin brother is about to become a father.

Bradley has shared the news with us that he and wife Anna are expecting their first child.

“We are both ecstatic about the prospect of becoming parents,” says Brad. “It’s something we have dreamed about for a long time.

“But for me, there’s not a single day that I don’t think about Daniel. I know that Daniel is still with me, in my heart and in my thoughts. And he always will be.”

The Weekly was invited into the family home to celebrate with the extended family, and Daniel and Brad’s mother Denise has kindly allowed The Weekly to print some never- before-seen touching photos of her twins as babies and young boys.

Brad and Anna wed in a simple private ceremony on the Sunshine Coast last August, but the pair have known each other since attending high school together.

They don’t know the sex of the child, but Anna has a strong feeling it is a boy.

“I couldn’t think of anything more fitting after everything that everybody has been through,” Anna says.
