Julia Roberts: “I’ve risked my career by not having a facelift”

Julia Roberts says staying natural in Hollywood is a 'big risk' for women over 40.

Speaking to The Telegraph to promote her role as the face of beauty brand, Lancome, the star, who turns 47 tomorrow, revealed she is happy to age without going under the knife.

“By Hollywood standards, I guess I’ve already taken a big risk in not having had a facelift, but I’ve told Lancome that I want to be an ageing model – so they have to keep me for at least five more years until I’m over 50,” she said.

Her comments follow speculation that Bridget Jones star Renee Zellweger had a facelift. The actress stepped out for Elle magazine’s Women in Hollywood event last Monday and received criticism around the world for her transformation.

She responded to the nasty headlines, telling People:”Perhaps I look different. Who doesn’t as they get older?! But I am different. I’m happy.”
