Emma Watson has shut down the fever dream that has gripped the internet the past few days. By that we mean the rumours that she is dating Prince Harry. Which we all must agree was a most pleasing thought – what a perfectly British match they would be.
The rumour began in Woman’s Day magazine last week, which reported that the Prince had emailed Watson following her split with rugby player Matt Janney. According to the magazine’s source Prince Harry wanted “to get to know her”, and invited her on a group date with a bunch of his friends. The reason for the entourage was, says the source, because
“Harry didn’t want her to feel like she was put on the spot. A party also shows he’s fun and not stuffy.”
As much as the world wanted to believe the match made in heaven was really happening (though who is really the royalty here?!) Emma Watson has shut down the rumour, tweeting on Sunday,
