There was a kid here today saw snow for the first time, which is pretty great.”

Meryl added, “They’re opening three more camps this year… They have served a half a million kids and families. He’s really delivered joy, not just in his work but in this work, which is a great legacy.”

But the celebs were not just there to walk the red carpet, both Meryl and George took to the stage to speak and make jokes, whilst funnymen David Letterman and Paul Shaffer performed a song-and-dance number of Paul Newman parody tunes. There was also a sweet performance by the charity’s kids, who came and sang Katy Perry’s Roar.
