Cressida Bonas becomes Vogue coverstar

Cressida Bonas, the aristocratic yet tomboyish ex-girlfriend of Prince Harry, has become a Vogue covergirl.

The 26-year-old dancer, model and actress strikes a casual pose in a printed dress on the front of the April issue of Miss Vogue, the fashion bible’s junior spin-off.

Since splitting from the Prince almost a year ago, she has continued her public rise to style icon, especially in her native UK.

Polished but with an untamed and sometimes grungy edge, Cressida was included in Vanity Fair’s best-dressed list, photographed by the renowned Mario Testino and selected as a spokesmodel for designer label Mulberry.

In an interview inside Miss Vogue – which counts supermodel Cara Delevingne among previous covergirls – Cressida reveals how she overcame debilitating shyness through performing.

“I don’t really understand it; in real life I’m often so shy – paralysingly so – but when I’m performing, it’s totally different. I feel free,” she says in the magazine, according to British broadsheet newspaper The Daily Telegraph.

Cressida is due to make her film debut alongside Delevingne and Judi Dench in the period drama Tulip Fever later this year.

Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger’s model daughter Georgia May appears on the front of the April issue of British Vogue, meanwhile, alongside Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse.
