Christmas with Hamish, Zoe and Sonny

Golden couple Zoe Foster Blake and Hamish Blake appear in a heart-warming charity Christmas campaign with their baby son Sonny.

The couple joked together and showered their adorable six-month-old in affection during the recording as part of our My First Christmas charity campaign, which features in the December issue of the magazine.

Asked how fatherhood has changed him, Hamish jokes: “I seem to be at the pub less often,” before adding, “but it’s all worth it.”

It’s a family tradition to rotate responsibility for hosting Christmas, Hamish deadpans, and this year is Sonny’s turn. “So we will just turn up to the dinner table at about midday and hope for the best.”

Radiant Zoe, who has juggled new motherhood with launching her own skincare range Go-To and writing magazine columns, said the arrival of sweet-natured Sonny meant they were “really going to go to town” this Christmas.

Hamish, who looks set to take over the airwaves in 2015 with co-host Andy Lee, came to the photo shoot last month to support Zoe and entertain young Sonny.

The comedy king described fatherhood as “so much fun”, playing with his son as his wife got ready and waving toys offstage during the shoot.

On a more serious note, the devoted couple encouraged readers to both celebrate and help those in need this Christmas.

They took part in The Weekly’s exclusive “my first Christmas” feature in aid of Redkite cancer charity.

Fellow celebrity mums Candice Falzon, Rachel Gilbert and Yumi Stynes also took part in the series of festive photo shoots for the December issue. Other charities supported are Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, The Starlight Children’s Foundation and Mater Little Miracles.
