Speaking to The Weekly whilst on her ‘babymoon’ in Hawaii two weeks ago with her partner, TV executive Craig McPherson, Sonia reveals how long she has been trying for a baby and the lengths to which she has gone to conceive.
The September issue of The Weekly, with the full story of the why and how of Sonia’s pregnancy, plus exclusive photos of the ecstatic mum-to-be, goes on sale this Thursday. Coincidentally, Sonia turns 49 the same day.
“I’m over the moon,” Sonia tells Executive Editor, Bryce Corbett. “Craig and I are just so excited.”
Sonia has told her story to The Weekly in the hope that by telling it once – and early – she can get on with the rest of her pregnancy in relative peace. She was not paid to tell her story nor to take part in the photo shoot.
“I’ve had a long-standing relationship with The Weekly and have known Bryce for years, this seemed like the most appropriate way to share our happy news,” said Sonia.
Sonia’s pregnancy comes as the popular presenter prepares to host a new season of the reality TV series, Big Brother which premieres on the Nine Network on September 8.
