Prince William is heading back to work after taking two weeks paternity leave following the birth of his first son.
There were few things about the arrival and celebration of baby Prince George of Cambridge that gave him a start in life like any other newborn, and no doubt his upbringing will be vastly different from other kids.
But just like any other new dad in the UK, Prince William has had to return to work following the standard time of leave.
The Royal Air Force (RAF) pilot has spent the past two weeks ensconced in his in-laws family home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, but is expected to return to duties in Anglesey, Wales.
William may have some adjusting to do in Anglesey, as he admitted to being in “baby mode” while playing a polo match for charity over the weekend and saying he had to pick up nappies on his way home.
The past two week have been “quiet, private time” for the new young royal family, with Kate and William “getting to know their son”, a Kensington Palace spokesperson said.
But he’ll be back on duty as a search and rescue pilot until he current tour comes to an end and may take on a new role within the RAF.
