Fergie 'rekindles romance' with Prince Andrew

Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew have reportedly rekindled their romance 17 years after their divorce.

Friends say the Duke and Duchess of York, both 53, have quietly got back together and are even considering getting remarried, the UK’s Telegraph newspaper reports.

“Mark my words, they will remarry,” one insider told the publication. “It is only a matter of time.”

The speculation came as Sarah joined Andrew and daughters Beatrice and Eugenie for a weekend at Balmoral, the Queen’s Scottish Highlands retreat.

It’s the first time Sarah has been welcome at the castle since 1992, when photographs of her having her toes sucked by her “financial advisor” were published.

The infamous incident saw Sarah banished from the royal family’s inner circle but she and Andrew have remained close, both living at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

They have both dated other people, but have struggled to find a lasting relationship after their 1996 divorce.

“There has always been this bond between them and they are incredibly close,” another friend said.

“It is, understandably, strange to some that they still live together so many years after their divorce, but they really do get on brilliantly and are hugely supportive of each other. Their biggest bond, however, is the girls.”

A spokesman for the Duchess has firmly denied rumours of a new relationship.

“They continue to be joint parents and best friends and try to set the best example for the girls,” he said.
