Prince Harry to pop the question ‘any day now’

Another royal wedding could be just around the corner with reports that Prince Harry is preparing to pop the question.

The 28-year-old prince’s relationship with dancer Cressida Bonas has been getting serious and friends of the couple say he has been hinting at a proposal ‘any day now’.

“The way it’s looking now people close to Harry and Cressida predict an engagement by the end of the year and a spring wedding,” a royal insider told the Daily Star newspaper.

“Cressida is The One,” the source said.

“People have heard Harry talking about how special Cress is and about getting engaged.”

Rumours of marriage for the couple have been hanging around for months, but gained momentum recently as Harry whisked Cressida off on an African safari — just as his brother William did when he proposed to then Kate Middleton in 2010.

Kensington Palace — the London residence of Prince Harry, William, Kate, and baby George — is said to be holding dates for ‘an announcement’ later this year, fuelling rumours of a spring wedding for Harry and Cressida.

Prince Harry is said to be “very fond” of the 24-year-old dance student, according to friends, and they go to great lengths to keep their relationship private after his last flame reportedly fizzled out following reports ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, was uncomfortable with the focus and attention that royal life brings.

Cressida, who comes from an aristocratic family, is said to be similarly uncomfortable in the royal spotlight and the couple are rarely photographed together.

They were spotted kissing on the ski slopes shortly after they started dating last July, and friends have described their relationship as a “full-on romance”.

Last month a friend of the couple told E! News Harry was convinced his blonde partner was “the one”.

“I would not be surprised if she’s the one he marries,” the friend said.
