The 39-year-old met with Nauru’s president Baron Waqa at a global summit on sexual violence against women in conflict last month.
More than 1000 people are on the island of Nauru – a destination for Australian asylum seekers.
According to reports from Radio New Zealand, Waqa invited the Hollywood star to Nauru and she has accepted the invitation, but there hasn’t been any confirmation about when her visit will be.
