Police said dozens of children aged between five and 12 years were on the bus at Randwick about 3.30pm when a group of about eight teenagers got on the vehicle when it pulled up at a bus stop.

It’s alleged that teenagers made physical and racial verbal threats.

Police said the teens left the bus on Bronte Road, Bondi Junction and the parents of the children were notified.

Jacqui Blackburn, a mother of three girls who were on the bus, told the Today Show her children and their friends were terrified, but the bus driver did nothing to stop the abuse.

“Under no circumstances was the bus driver allowed to open those doors for those guys,” she said.

“He let these arbitrary guys on and why he let them on, we don’t know.

“He didn’t stop what was being said and done to the kids. He saw he had 25 traumatised children on that bus and he did nothing about it”.

Eastern Suburbs police found five young males in Dover Heights in the early hours of this morning, but due to their level of intoxication they could not be interviewed by officers, The Daily Telegraph reports.
