Run don't walk: Gwyneth Paltrow is selling her clothes online

Usually when shopping online through lists of second-hand clothing, anything with “previously worn” in the description is far less appealing than pieces that are brand new.

But that all changes on the rare occasion the previous wearer is a best-dressed celebrity, say, Gwyneth Paltrow — like that would ever happen.

Well, it’s happening.

The Oscar-winning actress and red carpet regular has culled her closet and is selling the clothes off her own back online.

Money from the sale of each item, which will set you back between $320 – $1,900 a piece for a handbag, pair of shoes, and other selected garments, goes to the three charities that Gwyneth supports.

To clear out her closet and give the good people of the internet the chance to dress like a superstar, Gwyneth employed an “expert in the field of closet organization”.

“She came over and spent a good few hours going through all of it; what to toss, what to sell, what to store, what to keep,” Gwyneth writes in her online newsletter goop .

When it came to what to sell, Gwyneth hand-picked a selection of designer accessories including a Gucci bag (sold for $900), a Stella McCartney denim skirt ($250), and a Proenza Schouler dress ($450).

Since the items were posted last night almost all of them have been snapped up with only the most expensive remaining: a Givenchy blazer and skirt combo with a $1,900 price tag.

Any takers?
