The navy number the Duchess of Cambridge so elegantly stepped out wearing to her first royal engagement of the year has flown off the shelves within hours after pregnant Kate made her public appearance.

As part of her involvement with the Art Room Charity, Kate visited Barlby Primary in London where she took part in officially naming the Clore art room of the school.

The ‘Naomi’ dress, trimmed with colourful French tweed is designed by Madderson London, a British brand best known for its luxury maternity wear. Paired with suede black heels and dark tights, the frock complimented her growing baby bump as she nears towards her third trimester.

The Turner prize-winning artist, Grayson Perry, also a charity patron who attended the event described Kate as “looking pretty chic for six months”.

Kate was photographed the artist who wore his “lady who lunches” ensemble in which he had designed for himself in honour of the first time meeting the Duchess.

The website that sells the dress, Pinstripe & Pearls states that the item which “channels the big 1960’s trend of the season” is currently not available and gives no inclination of whether it will be restocked.

It is no surprise that Kate hits yet another home run when it comes to her maternity style, praised for her flattering choices during both her pregnancies.

While we can’t wait to spy what the Duchess wears to her next official outing we reflect on some of her best looks of the last few months.
